Miryam Rosenzweig is leading an innovative new department at the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit (JFMD): NEXTGen Detroit, moving to Michigan after 16 years in New York City. NEXTGen Detroit is redefining the model while building on the CommunityNEXT outreach initiative; it unites all programs at JFMD for those under the age of 45, and creates programs for under-engaged populations in this age group. “NEXTGen” is not your mother’s Young Adult department. It’s about radically changing (successfully!) the approach to outreach, engagement and reimagining campaign messaging to Detroit’s nextgen population
While the Head of Development Initiatives and in charge of global nextgen strategy at World ORT, Miryam had the opportunity to examine Jewish engagement not only in North America, but philanthropic trends around the world.
Previously she was the Associate Director of National Young Leadership at The Jewish Federations of North America, overseeing National Young Leadership Cabinet programming, missions, and national conferences.
