Liza Lieberman

Liza Lieberman is Associate Director of Policy and Advocacy at HIAS in Washington, DC, where she educates Jewish community partners and government stakeholders—including Congress and administrative agencies—about various immigration and refugee policy issues.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Lieberman held several other positions at HIAS including Grassroots Policy Associate and DC Young Leaders Coordinator, where she engaged communities, faith leaders, and individuals and in HIAS’ work. Before joining HIAS, she worked with the energy law team at Leonard, Street, and Deinard law firm, with the development team at Women for Women International, and as an English teacher with the Inglés Abre Puertas program with the Chilean Ministry of Education. She holds a bachelor’s degree from American University in International Relations and Philosophy.
